The Seventeenth National Conference on Communications (NCC 2011) will be held at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore during 28-30 January 2011. The conference will feature three symposia in the following areas: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS SIGNAL PROCESSINGPreviously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics in these areas are solicited, including (but not limited to) the following:Communication theory and systemsInformation theoryCoding theoryMobile, wireless and broadband communicationsOptical communicationsRF, Microwave communicationsAntennas and propagationSatellite communicationsVLSI for communicationsCognitive radioGreen communicationsNext generation networksOptical networks and systemsSensor networksAd hoc networksWireless and wireline networksVehicular networksSecurityNetworks and services managementPerformance analysisComplex networksBiological networksSignal processing for communicationsImage, video signal processing, and computer visionMultimedia applicationsDSP algorithms and architecturesSpeech and audio processingBiomedical applicationsComputational and statistical methodsLanguage identificationMachine learning, pattern analysis, and classificationLarge dimensional signal processingCompressive sensing and sparse signal recoveryResearchers working in emerging fields of these areas are especially encouraged to submit original findings. Submitted papers should be of sufficient length and detail for review by experts in the field. The papers shall be limited to 5 pages in standard IEEE conference format.
