Paper registration deadline (in EDAS): November 7, 2010Full paper submission deadline (in EDAS): November 21, 2010Notification of Acceptance: January 17, 2011Authors registration: January 30, 2011Camera ready paper submission: February 4, 2011The ISPLC will bring together academia and industry professionals as well as students and researchers to present and discuss ongoing work on existing and future power line communication (PLC) systems, PLC applications, PLC standardization activities with emphasis, but not limited, to:Channel characterization and modelingElectro-magnetic compatibility/interference and couplingModulation, coding techniques, and error controlSignal processingMultiple access techniques and MAC protocolsDuplex and repeater techniques, routing, and autonomous network functionsCognitive and Cooperative algorithms and approachesModem and LSI designSystem architectures and solutionsNetwork planning, optimization and service managementCross-layer optimization and service integrationCoexistence and interoperabilitySecurity in PLCAccess PLC networksIn-home PLC networksIn-vehicle power line networksSmart GridsGreen CommunicationsBroadband and multimedia applicationsExperimental systems, field trials, and commercial networksStandardization and regulationBusiness perspectivesContributions from related fields, as for instance wireless, provided that explain analogies/differences with PLC and stimulate cross-fertilization, are also welcome.Submission guidelinesProspective authors are encouraged to submit original full papers up to six pages in PDF not published or submitted anywhere else. Submissions will be handled by the EDAS system. Title, authors and abstract has to be registered in EDAS before November 7, 2010. The full paper has to be submitted in EDAS by November 21, 2010. Information for AuthorsTo be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate and must present the paper at the conference . Registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore.
