    CALL FOR PAPERS

VII Southern Programmable Logic Conference (SPL2011)

    April 13-15, 2011

National University of Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina

    http://www.splconf.org

    IMPORTANT DATES:

    - Paper Submission: 15 October 2010

    - Tutorial Proposal: 15 October 2010

    - Acceptance Notification: 10 December 2010

    - Camera-ready: 7 February 2011

    SCOPE:

The purpose of the SPL conference is to bring together leading

researchers and developers in reconfigurable logic technology and its

applications. The VII edition continues the tradition of previous ones

to become the austral meeting point for the worldwide community in the

    area.

SPL2011 will take place in Córdoba, the second-largest city in

Argentina, and will be hosted at the National University of Córdoba,

one of the oldest universities in America. Called the Heartland of

Argentina for its location in the geographical center of the country,

Córdoba has a strong colonial history blending with modern economic

growth. It is considered the technological centre of Argentina where

several international software and electronic industries are

    established.

We welcome original contributions in the areas of design methodology

for programmable hardware, EDA tools, platform-based design,

FPGA-based signal processing, communication networks and systems, FPGA

architectures and teaching, reliable embedded computing, and various

FPGA-based computing applications. Authors are invited to submit

original and unpublished contributions as 6-page full papers including

tables, figures and references by 15 October 2010. Papers must be

written in English and as in previous years, accepted papers will

appear in the IEEE Xplore library.

Continuing on our tradition to promote local and ongoing research

activities, we are also organizing a Designer Forum at SPL2011. The

forum aims to give exposure to ongoing works, academic experiences and

industrial designs, and get feedback from experienced researchers and

industrial partners. Authors interested in contributing to the

Designer Forum are invited to submit 4-page short papers by 15 October

2010. Prospective papers in this forum can be written in English,

Spanish or Portuguese. Accepted contributions will be included in a

separate proceedings volume but not in the IEEE proceedings.

We are also soliciting proposals for tutorials to be held at the

conference. The deadline for tutorial proposal submissions is also 15

    October 2010.

Full details on the scope and submission procedures of the SPL 2011

conference are available on the conference website: www.splconf.org

We look forward to welcoming you in Argentina!
