    June 8-10, 2011

IbPRIA is an international event co-organised every two years, by the

Spanish and Portuguese Associations for Pattern Recognition, and

sponsored by IAPR-International Association for Pattern Recognition.

IbPRIA is a single track conference consisting of high quality,

previously unpublished papers, presented either orally or as a poster,

intended to act as a forum for research groups, engineers and

practitioners to present recent results, algorithmic improvements and

promising future directions in pattern recognition and image analysis.

    SCOPE

The conference are looking for new theoretical results, techniques and

main applications on any aspect of pattern recognition and image

analysis, including but not restricted to the following topics:

    Pattern Recognition

    Image Analysis

    Computer Vision

    Multimedia Systems

    Statistical and Structural Pattern Recognition

    Machine Learning and Data Mining

    Bioinformatics

    Image Coding and Processing

    Shape and Texture Analysis

    Information Systems

    Biometric Technologies

    Speech Recognition

    Document Processing

    Character and Text Recognition

    Robotics

    Remote Sensing

    Industrial Applications of Pattern Recognition

    Special Hardware Architectures

    PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers must be submitted electronically by November 19 , 2010. Each

paper will be blind-reviewed by at least two reviewers and will be

accepted based on its originality, significance and clarity. Papers

should describe original and unpublished work on the topics of the

conference, and should not exceed 8 pages.

Authors should refer to the Author's Instructions on Springer's

LNCS web site for more information on paper format and to download the

style/template files. Please note that instructions on Springer's

web site may refer to the "camera-ready" version of a

paper. Authors can use the same instructions for their first

submission, as well as for the camera-ready version upon acceptance of

their papers. (Authors are not required to submit a copyright form

with their first submission). All accepted papers will appear in the

conference proceedings, and will be published in Springer Lecture

Notes in Computer Science Series (Springer LNCS). A copy of the

proceedings will be distributed to all participants at the Conference.
