Third International Symposium on Information Processing15 - 17,October 2010 Qingdao, ChinaFull paper submission: Aug. 10, 2010Acceptance notification:Aug. 30 , 2010Author registration : Sep.10, 2010Camera-ready copy : Sep.10, 2010It may be said that modern information technology rests on three technology pillars: semiconductor technology, communications technology, and information processing technology. During the past two decades there have been tremendous advances in all three pillars and their unrelenting convergence that have brought us significantly closer to the realization of the long-envisioned dream of an information society in which anyone can access the cumulative knowledge of the mankind inexpensively from anywhere at any time, namely that of a ubiquitous information age. The 2010 International Symposium on Information Processing Technology will bring together researchers from academia and industry, who are interested in the emergent field of information processing. We are soliciting papers that present recent results, as well as more speculative presentations that discuss research challenges, define new applications, propose methodologies for evaluating and the roadmap for achieving the vision of information processing, including but not limited to the following topics:Machine Translation And Multilingual ProcessingNatural Language Applications, Tools and ResourcesMachine Learning For Natural LanguageText Mining and Information ExtractionText Analysis, Text UnderstandingLanguage ModelingSpeech Recognition and SynthesisPhonology and MorphologyGrammars and Syntax, Syntactical AnalysisWord Segmentation, Parsing and TaggingLexical Semantics, Word Sense, Word NetsSummarization and GenerationInformation Retrieval SystemsInformation Reliability And SecurityInformation and Knowledge StructuresInformation Processing MethodsDecision Support And Expert SystemsWorkflow ManagementDatabase Engineering and SystemsInformation Hiding and WatermarkingContent ManagementData Security and Privacy IssuesData WarehousingTrusted Computing
