Call For Papers - CFP
The 2nd International Workshop on Peer-to-Peer Networking (P2PNet'10)in conjunction withThe 16th International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems(ICPADS 2010)December 7, 2010Shanghai, ChinaLink: http://www.net-glyph.org/~p2pnet10/
General InformationPeer-to-Peer (P2P) networking has been applied successfully in different areas of Internet-based communication, such as P2P file sharing and P2P streaming. It has been considered as a promising technology to radically change the future of Internet networking and thus attracted tremendous interests among both Internet surfers and computer networking professionals. However, with the increasing penetration of wireless devices and mobile community using P2P technologies, P2P networking becomes infrastructure-less and social-related. This in turn brings new challenges and research opportunities to facilitate the effective deployment of P2P applications.Following by the success of P2PNet’09 in St.-Petersburg, Russia, P2PNet’10, which will be held in conjunction with ICPADS'10, aims to provide a forum for bringing together researchers and practitioners working on this area to present their latest research results and discuss open problems as well as emerging trends in this highly challenging research area, thereby promoting the development and evolution of P2P Networking. All submissions on P2P network architecture, design, implementation, simulation, analysis and measurement are welcomed.Topics include but are not limited to:* Topology Modeling of P2P Community* Scalable Measurement of P2P Systems* Evolution of P2P Community* Online Social Networking* Social Network Analysis of P2P Systems* Personalization for P2P Social Interaction* Novel Search Algorithms on P2P network* Fault Tolerance in P2P Systems* P2P Reputation* P2P Security, Privacy* P2P Incentive, Economics* P2P Streaming* Large Scale Deployment of Peer-to-Peer SystemsPaper SubmissionAuthors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all areas of P2P networking. Papers must be submitted electronically in the EDAS (http://edas.info/N9149
). The maximum size of papers should be 6 pages including tables and figures. The cover page must contain an abstract of about 150 words, 3-5 keywords, name and affiliation of author(s) as well as the corresponding author's e-mail and postal address.PublicationPapers accepted for P2PNet 2010 workshop will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press. All accepted papers will be included in IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI. The program committee will select one winner for the Best Paper Award.Important DatesPaper submission: August 15, 2010Acceptance notification: September 23, 2010Camera ready: October 1, 2010Organizing CommitteeGeneral Co-Chairs:Xiaoming Fu, University of Goettingen, GermanySanglu Lu, Nanjing University, ChinaTPC Co-Chairs:Yang Chen, University of Goettingen, GermanyBaoliu Ye, Nanjing University, ChinaTPC Members:Mayutan Arumaithurai, University of Goettingen, GermanyBeixing Deng, Tsinghua University, ChinaBamba Gueye, University Cheikh Anta Diop, SenegalSong Guo, University of Aizu, JapanPin-Han Ho, University of Waterloo, CanadaHung-Chang Hsiao, National Cheng Kung University, TaiwanYongfeng Huang, Tsinghua University, ChinaEdward Hung, The Hongkong Polytechnic University, Hong KongXiaohong Jiang, Future University-Hakodare, JapanMitsunori Kubo, Olympus Corporation, Japan,Fang-Chun Kuo, NEC Laboratories Europe in Heidelberg, GermanyAng Li, Duke University, USADan Li, Tsinghua University, ChinaQi Liao, University of Notre Dame, USAChen Lin, Xiamen University, ChinaJun Luo, Nanyang Technological University, SingaporeDarshan Purandare, Microsoft Corporation, USALei Shi, IBM CRL, ChinaArata Shinozaki, Olympus Corporation, JapanGeorgios Smaragdakis, Technical University of Berlin, GermanyHiroyuku Takizawa, Tohoku University, JapanMatthias Waehlisch, Free University of Berlin, GermanyBo Zhang, Rice University, USAJin Zhao, Fudan University, ChinaContact Informationyebl
