CVMP 2010 is the 7th annual industry-academic conference series on media production for film, broadcast and games. Visualmedia production brings together expertise in video processing, computer vision, computer graphics, animation and physicalsimulation. CVMP provides a forum for presentation of the latest research advances combined with key-note and invited talks onstate-of-the-art industry practice in content production and post-production. CVMP is rapidly building a reputation as a primevenue for researchers to meet with image practitioners in the film and television industry. In 2009 40% of the audience were fromthe film and television post-production industry including representation from high profile post-houses such as Weta Digitalresponsible for films such as The Lord of the Rings. Last year keynotes from Weta Digital New Zealand, MediaPro Barcelonaamong others maintained the level of industry interest.High-quality papers are invited which present novel research related to any aspect of media production. Full length submittedpapers will be subject to peer review and the conference organisers are again expecting to publish papers with well respectedacademic publishers. (In 2009 papers were published by the IEEE). Selected papers will be invited to submit extended versionsfor a Journal special issue on Visual Media Production. Accepted papers will be presented as either oral or postersand will appear in the conference proceedings.
