Call For Papers - CFP
he central theme of the SR2A series of conferences is the innovative use of methods employing synchrotron radiation (and/or related types of radiation) for the (non-destructive) investigation of artistic and archaeological materials and artifacts. The programme of SR2A-2010 will consist of invited lectures, oral contributions, a poster session and discussion sessions. Session topics will be either method-oriented or problem-oriented. In particular, we welcome contributions that cover the full range of the SR2A scope: challenges from the cultural heritage field, methods developed in the SR domain and new insights through multidisciplinary interaction.Your active participation is highly encouraged. Oral and poster contributions are welcomed on the following material types: ? Paintings, paints, drawings, etches, ? Artifacts in wood, metal, stone, ...? Stained, enamelled and vessel glassand related materialson the use of the following methods of investigation: ? X-ray based spectroscopies (absorption, fluorescence, scattering, diffraction, ...)? Macroscopic and microscopic imaging using penetrative radiation (X-rays, THz, IR, neutrons, ...)and related techniquesand about the following problems: ? Degradation and alteration? Technology of preparation and (creative) use of materials? Authentication and provenancingand related issues.
