The International Workshop on Interworking and Interoperable Networks and Services (I2NS) provides the opportunity to bring altogether researchers, industrials, academics and students to share the new technologies, methodologies, techniques and applications dedicated to the study, analysis and development of interworking and interoperable next generation networks and services.Indeed, the last decade has seen a revolutionary evolution in mobile telephony and the Internet, and we are on the verge of a third revolution: the convergence of these worlds. The architectures in each of these worlds evolved quickly and have created a diverse set of wireless broadband access networks (e.g. WiMax, Wifi, 3/4/5G, LTE) allowing the development of new standards and services such as mashup, H323, and P2PSIP. While there are many advantages of having such a large and diverse set, interworking and interoperability issues are needed to be addressed. The objectives of this workshop are thus to present and discuss novel paradigms, methodologies and real experiments focusing on interworking and interoperability of networks of all-scale as well next generation communication services.TopicsThe topics of interest include, but are not limited to:IPv4/IPv6 interworking3/4/5G architecturesInterworking of NGN/IMS architecturesWimax/Wifi networksInterworking in P2PSIP architecturesHeterogeneous and Pervasive architecturesPost-IP protocolEnd-to-end QoSSecurity, reliability, trusted systemsFeature interactions, mashupsModelling, design, verification and interoperability testingStandardsExperiences from interworking systems
