NAMIAM 2010First North American Meeting on Industrial and Applied MathematicsDecember 8 - 10, 2010, Universidad del Mar, Huatulco, Oaxaca México.The first Joint North American Meeting on Industrial and Applied Mathematics is being organized by SMM, CAIMS and SIAM. Its main intention is to bring together applied computational scientist, mathematicians, researchers and students with interdisciplinary interests, form Canada, U. S. A. and Mexico. Among its purposes is the enhancement and strengthening of the academic relations between the three counties with respect to applied and industrial mathematics. The meeting is organized in eight research topics divided in applied fields and mathematical areas. Other interesting topics are contemplated to be presented in a general and poster sessions. Each topic is organized by means of a mini symposium in which all talks are by invitation. The general and the poster sessions will take place in parallel to the mini symposium.All researchers, professionals in the industry and students with interdisciplinary interests are urged to participate by submitting their request before the deadline. The conference is a great opportunity for students and young researchers to learn about the state of the art and potential of industrial and applied mathematics.NEW DEADLINESAbstract submission deadline for the General and invited sessions: July 31Notification of accepted abstracts: August 30People registered before June 27, will be notified in August 8.
