SSQEHP12: Systems and Services for Quality Enhancement of Healthcare Provisioning

at IEEE CBMS 2012: 25th IEEE International Symposium on

    COMPUTER-BASED MEDICAL SYSTEMS

June 20-22, 2012, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Roma, Italy

    http://www.cbms2012.org/?special-tracks.html#

The special track on Systems and services for quality enhancement of healthcare

provisioning invites papers for presentation at IEEE CBMS 2012 that contribute

to improving healthcare provisioning through quality management. Owing to the

increasing healthcare costs across the world, most Governments and leading

technology companies are focussing and investing in the area of improving

healthcare quality provisioning, and are interested in systems that conduct

quality assessments or audits. The escalating demand for improving the quality

of healthcare provision has influenced both the public and private health sectors

demanding results and ideas of how to improve quality of healthcare provisioning in

different paradigms. Research for this special session can draw from various disciplines.

This special track aims at bringing together researchers in the

multi-disciplinary area of healthcare quality assessment and enhancement,

and at providing a forum for the presentation and discussion of their research

activities. Engineers, scientists, psychologists, clinicians and computer and

cognitive scientists, as well as research project managers involved in such projects

are encouraged to submit papers to this special track.

    TOPICS OF INTEREST

The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

    - Services for quality assessment of healthcare provisioning

    - Tools, methods, and models for improving the quality of healthcare

    - Cross-organizational measurement of performance for quality

    - Algorithms or mechanisms contributing to healthcare quality assessment

    - Methods or systems to incorporate patient experience into quality improvement

    - Systems to assess or evaluate Quality Indicators (QIs) for the quality of care

    - Application of quality management tools from other disciplines to healthcare

    - Case studies related to performance and quality evaluation

    - Personalised services for quality evaluation of healthcare
