Based upon past experiences at conferences around the globe and held locally, a new model of conference, more suitable to local needs, has been designed. This year ICMV brings not just a conference where research work can be published rather a comprehensive platform where all facets of Machine Vision, as it exists in Pakistan, will be fully exposed.

A lack of citation for the work of local students and researchers is often a result of haste to get it published. This situation will be addressed at this conference by providing guidance to students and researchers to refine their work and create a noteworthy research contribution. In this regard a PhD symposium is being held and top researchers from around the globe are invited to discuss their work and share their research methodologies. A competition has been arranged to evaluate the quality of projects being carried out at various academic institutions in the country. This will not only encourage the students but will also present a sound assessment of possibilities for further development. An exhibition at this event will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the industrial products available in the local market. It will also enable the industry to interact with the researchers and explore new areas of development.

ICMV is dedicated to helping the research community in developing their ideas, improving their work and staying abreast with the latest trends in Image Processing and Machine Vision.
