22nd International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications - DEXA 2011Toulouse, FranceAugust 29 - September 2, 2011Information systems and database systems have always been a central topic of computer science. In addition, the integration of knowledge, information and data justifies its actual attractiveness. Since 1990 DEXA is an annual international conference, located in Europe, which showcases state-of-the-art research activities in these areas.DEXA 2011 will be held in Toulouse, France from August 29 until September 2, 2011. It will continue to provide a forum for presenting research results in the area of database and intelligent systems and discussions on advanced applications and issues related to these areas. It will offer the opportunity to extensively discuss requirements, problems, and solutions in the field. The conference and associated workshops will inspire a fruitful dialogue between developers in practice, users of database and expert systems, and scientists working in the field.SubmissionsDEXA 2011 invites research submissions on all topics related to database systems and intelligent systems including, but are not limited to those listed below:Applications of DB Systems and Information SystemsApplications of Expert Systems and Decision Support SystemsConstraint Modelling and ProcessingData and Information ModellingData and Information IntegrationData and Information NetworksData and Information Privacy and SecurityData and Information QualityData and Information SemanticsData and Information StreamsData Privacy and SecurityData Structures and Data Management AlgorithmsDatabase and Information System Architecture and PerformanceData Mining AlgorithmsData Mining Systems, Data Warehousing, OLAPDigital LibrariesDistributed, Parallel, P2P, and Grid DatabasesExpert Systems and Decision Support SystemsInformation Retrieval and Database SystemsIntegrity ConstraintsInteroperabilityKnowledge Acquisition & ManagementKnowledge ModellingKnowledge ProcessingMetadata ManagementMobile Data and InformationMultimedia DatabasesMulti-databases and Database FederationObject, Object Relational, and Deductive DatabasesPervasive Data and InformationProcess ModellingProcess Support and AutomationQuery Processing and OptimisationSemantic Web and OntologiesSensor Data ManagementStatistical and Scientific DatabasesTemporal, Spatial, and High Dimensional DatabasesUser Interfaces to Databases and Information SystemsWeb ServicesWWW and DatabasesWorkflow Management and DatabasesXML-based DatabasesHonorary Chairperson:Makoto Takizawa, Seikei University, JapanGeneral Chair:Abdelkader Hameurlain, IRIT, Paul Sabatier University, FranceConference Program Chairpersons:Stephen Liddle, Brigham Young University, U.S.A.Klaus-Dieter Schewe, Software Competence Center Hagenberg and Johannes-Kepler-University Linz, AustriaXiaofang Zhou, University of Queensland, AustraliaPublication Chairperson:Vladimir Marik, Czech Technical University, Czech RepublicWorkshop Chairpersons:Franck Morvan, IRIT, Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, FranceA Min Tjoa, Technical University of Vienna, AustriaRoland R.
