THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION 2021

THEME – “EMPOWERING LEARNERS IN A DIGITAL WORLD”

    ————————————————————

The International Conference on Education (ICEDU) 2020 is the 7th in a series of successful conferences on Education organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management. ICEDU annual conference series was started in Beijing, China (ICEDU 2015). After its initiation, two conferences were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (ICEDU 2017, ICEDU 2019) and two were held in Bangkok, Thailand (ICEDU 2016, ICEDU 2018). Given the Covid-19 Pandemic situation ICEDU 2020 was turned to an online virtual Conference. Today, the high standards, impact, and quality of the ICEDU conferences are highly recognized by the education related research community in the world.

    OBJECTIVES OF ICEDU 2021

BUILDING NEWFANGLED AND FUTURISTIC INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

One of the main objectives of ICEDU 2021 is to continue to work toward improving the standard of the international community of educational researchers, scholars, and practitioners by introducing them to the latest trends, developments, and challenges in the education field while addressing the theme “Empowering Learners in a Digital World”.

    About the theme

The importance of digital learning was made abundantly clear when schools across the world closed their classroom doors and opened digital doors for their students who had to learn from home. The pandemic showed the world that we were not as prepared for digital learning as we thought. Teachers were not familiar with the issues brought on by digital learning and many students did not know how to properly employ available technology. We also learned of the digital divide as some pupils had access to high quality and reliable technology, whereas others did not. Education once again broke down along socio-economic status.

We need more research and better understanding of best practices relative to technology and how to maximize children’s learning in a digital world. We also need solid research on the effects of prolonged time away from the classroom.

ICEDU 2021 can help us understand some of these issues so that we can “Empower Learners in a Digital World.”

    DEVELOPING CAREERS AND INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES

ICEDU 2021 is designed to develop the careers of the participants while increasing opportunities for their future. Renowned resource persons in the education field will conduct special sessions at the conference, such as publication workshops and student sessions. The conference will also provide a unique convergence of networking, learning, inspiring keynote speeches, discussions, industry-academia conversations, plenary speeches, and workshops along with publication opportunities.

MAINTAINING HIGH-QUALITY CONFERENCE STANDARDS AND PUBLICATION STANDARDS

The conference is specially designed by the TIIKM Research and Development team together with a committee of experts from international universities with guidance of the Academic Governing Body of TIIKM conferences. ICEDU 2021 is under the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The conference consists of several special issues of high quality supporting journals. The conference proceedings will be published in the Open Journal System (OJS) with Indexing and DOI.

A PLATFORM WITH THE HIGHEST NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

ICEDU 2021 will have a wide range of meeting opportunities to maximize and expand participants’ network of international colleagues. There will be a conference networking dinner with a cultural show. An optional post-conference tour will be organized with the aim of providing delegates with an opportunity for an informal gathering as we tour the sights of Bangkok.
