    The 9th International Conference on Material Strength and Applied Mechanics (MSAM 2026) will be held in Matsue, Japan on July 15-18, 2026. The conference will provide an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss recent analytical, experimental and computational results in the field of applied mechanics to bridge the gap between physical theory and its application to technology.     • MSAM 2025 (July 11-14, 2025 | Shenzhen, China)

    Organized by Southern University of Science and Technology and technically supported by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, MSAM 2025 concluded successfully in Shenzhen on July 14, 2025. The conference brought together over 120 participants from 11 countries, fostering vibrant discussions and knowledge exchange in the field. Over 70 presentations in six topic sessions were shared at the conference with fruitful results.

    • MSAM 2024 (July 29 – August 1, 2024 | Győr, Hungary)

    Organized by Széchenyi István University, MSAM 2024 was successfully held from July 29 to August 1, 2024 in Győr, Hungary! About a hundred professors, scholars, and researchers from 23 countries worldwide attended the event. The conference featured five parallel oral sessions and one poster session, which yielded fruitful results in the field of material strength and applied mechanics.

    • MSAM 2023 (July 4-7, 2023 | Macau, China)

    MSAM 2023 concluded successfully in Macau, China on July 7, 2023. Prof. Jie Yang (RMIT University, Australia) and Prof. Dae-Eun KIM (Yonsei University, South Korea) have shared their excellent keynote speeches on their important research findings. Thirty-one invited & oral presentations and twelve posters were communicated at the conference with impressive results. The conference was attended by about 70 on-site and online delegates.

    • MSAM 2022 (August 19-22, 2022 | Qingdao, China)

    Organized by Shandong University of Science and Technology and co-organized by Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics, MSAM2022 was held successfully from August 19-22, 2022 in Qingdao, China. The conference took place in a hybrid mode combining online & offline participation with about 120 on-site attendees and over 100 online participants from 25 countries and regions.

    • MSAM 2020&MSAM 2021 (Online via Microsoft Teams)

    Due to the Covid situation, MSAM 2020&MSAM 2021were held online successfully. Over a hundred participants have joined the conference virtually each year. The conference has delivered the latest trends on materials strength and applied mechanics.
