    Today security no longer has the connotations of just civil defence as it enters into every aspect of our daily lives. At the same time the environment of space is increasingly congested as its value and potential is further realised by constellations and activities.

    Space Surveillance and situational awareness is used to protect international space infrastructure essential to modern living from communications to positioning and time.

    The threats range from damage from other satellites or debris to Space weather effects and when the ingredient of counterspace & cyber threat are added is it clear that this is a domain that affects all our lives.
