China has set the goal of reaching emission peak by 2030, and carbon neutrality by 2060, which is a challenging task considering China’s existing energy structure. Last year, coal consumption still accounted for over half of the total energy consumption, while renewable energy was less than a quarter. Given this situation, promoting highly efficient and clean coal utilization is the primary task of energy structure transition. Coal-fired power generation is one of the major routes for coal utilization but with great amount of CO2 emission. Therefore, upgrading coal-fired power units is the key measure to improve power generation efficiency, reduce coal consumption, and support insufficient output from renewable energy.On-line detection techniques play a vital role in this regard. On-line detection of key parameters (coal property, fly ash, flue gas, etc.) not only enables closed-loop optimization control, but also makes on-line energy efficiency analysis and carbon footprint monitoring possible. All these effectively improve the intelligent level and flexible control of coal-fired plants. In the presentation, we would like to introduce a powerful technique, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), from its fundamental study to applications for power generation. So far, our team has successfully applied LIBS technique on rapid analysis of coal property, unburned carbon in fly ash. First, we propose LIBS direct analysis of solid particle flow, which is considered as an on-line measuring scheme. Then, quantitative analysis models were established for unburned carbon in fly ash and coal quality analysis based on multi-linear regression and artificial neural networks respectively. Last, we developed two types of rapid coal analyzer and one portable fly ash analyzer, realizing on-line and in-situ detection of coal quality and unburned carbon in fly ash by LIBS.Prof. Changbin Hu, North China University of Technology, ChinaTitle: Coming soonp/>Abstract: Coming soonp/>【Paper Submission】*Please submit your paper(word & pdf) via Electronic Submission Systemhttps://www.ais.cn/attendees/paperSubmit/BNFZZB*Full Paper Template: https://www.ais.cn/attendees/material/BNFZZB【Conference Attending】* For Presenter and Participant who are interested in attending DETSG 2021 with no publication, please complete the registration on the Online Registration System.https://www.ais.cn/attendees/toSignUp/BNFZZB【Contact us】Conference Homepage:http://www.detsg.org/Conference Secretary: Ms LaiEmail: DETSG2021163.comTel: +86-18028622473
