    The 4rd International Workshop on Automation Technologies (WAT 2022) is the workshop of 2022 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Technologies (CEECT 2022) , which is organized by Shanghai University of Electric Power, and technical sponsored by IEEE Control Systems Society and Asia Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering(APISE), Jiangsu University, supported by Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems, Power System Protection and Control and Southeast University, and media supported by MDPI-Entropy & MDPI-Electronics, Journal of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, will be held in Shanghai, China during Dec. 16-18, 2022.

    ●Publication & Indexing

    1)Accepted and presented papers will be included into conference proceedings of CEECT 2022, which will be submitted to Engineering Village, Scopus, Thomson Reuters (WoS) and other databases for review and indexing. (All is subject to final publishing and indexing.)

    * WAT 2022 is the workshop of CEECT 2022.

    2) Selected papers with great extension will be recommended to publish in international journals: "Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems" (ISSN: 2367-0983 (electronic)) and "Power System Protection and Control" (ISSN: 1674-3415).

    Prof. Zhe Chen

    Aalborg University, Denmark

    Dr Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Power and Control, from University of Durham, England, he has been a full Professor with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark since 2002. Professor Chen is the leader of Wind Power System Research program at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University. His main current research interests are wind energy, power electronics, power system and modern energy systems.

    Prof. Stein-Erik Fleten

    Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway

    Stein-Erik Fleten received the Ph.D. degree in operations research from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, in 2000. He is currently Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. His areas of interest include electricity markets, hydro scheduling under uncertainty,

    hedging and risk management in electricity utilities, real options, and bidding in short-term electricity auctions.

    Prof. Anurag Srivastava

    Anurag K. Srivastava is a Raymond J. Lane

    Professor and Chairperson of the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Department at the West Virginia University. Research interests include data-driven algorithms for power system operation and control including resiliency analysis.Srivastava is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society’s PEEC committee, co-chair of the microgrid working group, vice-chair of power system operation SC, chair of PES voltage stability working group, chair of PES synchrophasors applications working group, co-chair of distributed optimization application in power grid.

    Prof. Peter Xu

    Senior Member of IEEE

    University of Auckland, New Zealand

    His current research interests are mainly in areas of advanced mechatronics/robotics with applications in medicine, foods and drugs. He is Senior Member of IEEE and Fellow of Engineering New Zealand. Currently, he is Associate Editor for IEEE Open Journal of Industrial Electronics Society and ASME Journal of Science and Engineering in Medical Diagnostics and Therapy.

    Prof. Guojie Li

    Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China

    Senior member of IEEE. He is also an IEEE PES senior member and appointed as Council Member of Asia Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering in Apr., 2021. Prof.He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, China in 1989 and 1993, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 1999. Li's research interest is New energy control and access, microgrid analysis and control, flexible DC.

    Prof. Li Jia

    Shanghai University, China

    Prof. Jia's research interest is Data-driven complex nonlinear dynamic modeling; Integrated learning optimization control of batch production process; Collaborative optimization of energy Internet based on big data. Speech Title: Research on the topology balance model and energy optimization management method for energy industry internet.

    Dr. Huirong Zhao

    Shanghai University of Electric Power, China

    Dr. Huirong Zhao is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Automation Engineering at Shanghai University of Electric Power. She received her B.E. and Ph.D. degree in Thermal Engineering from Southeast University, China, in 2012 and 2017, respectively. From 2014 to 2016, she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, United States. Dr. Zhao's research interest is Thermal process modeling, optimization and advanced control algorithm research; Research on information security protection of intelligent power generation and thermal power plant

    Prof. Farhad Shahnia

    Murdoch University, Australia

    A/Professor Farhad Shahnia received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, in 2012. He is currently an A/Professor at Murdoch University. Before that, he was a Lecturer at Curtin University (2012-15), a research scholar at QUT (2008-11), and an R&D engineer at the Eastern Azarbayjan Electric Power Distribution Company, Iran (2005-08). He is currently a Fellow member of Engineers Australia, Senior Member of IEEE, and member of the Australasian Association for Engineering Education.
