The 2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies andSystems (CTS 2011)(Proposal Submission _Extended_ Deadline: November 25, 2010)May 23-27, 2011The Sheraton University City HotelPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, USA* Apologies for cross-posting *In Cooperation with ACM, IEEE, and IFIP (Pending)PURPOSE AND SCOPEThe 12th International Conference on Collaboration Technologies andSystems (CTS 2011) Organizing Committee invites proposals for symposia,workshops and special sessions to be held in conjunction with the CTS2011 Conference.Symposia, workshops and special sessions provide an opportunity forresearchers to present results and participate in focused discussions oftimely topics on various areas of collaboration computing systems andtechnologies. They are to establish a common understanding of a certainaspect, to share experiences, to foster research communities, to learnfrom each other, to identify open problems and/or to explore futuredirections of research.A symposium will typically go for more than one day. A workshop willtypically be a full day (10-16 papers). A special session willtypically have 4-6 papers. Symposia, workshops and special sessions mayalso have invited speakers, panels, or forums. Symposia, workshops andspecial sessions will be fully refereed and their accepted papers willbe published as part of the CTS 2011 proceedings.The symposia, workshops and special sessions are considered part of theoverall CTS Conference and hence included in the Conference’sregistration. For each symposium, workshop or special session, at leastone organizer must commit to attending and running the respectivesymposium, workshop or special session.Requirements for submission of a Symposium, Workshop or Special Sessionproposal:* Title of the symposium, workshop or special session.* A brief technical description of the symposium, workshop or specialsession, identification of specific technical issues/topics, focus, andmotivations / justification of its timeliness.* Instructions for paper submission and a description of the reviewprocess.* The names, postal addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of theproposed (symposium, workshop, special session) organizing committee.This committee should consist of appropriate number of membersknowledgeable in the technical issues to be addressed by the symposium,workshop or special session.* Primary contact(s) of the organizing committee.* Estimated number of participants, length, and important dates of thesymposium/ workshop/ special session.* The means of publicity and soliciting participation that will bepursued.* Any resources that may be required, such as two days, one day or halfday symposium, workshop, special session, expected room size, whether apanel setup is needed, etc.* Information about the previous edition of thesymposium/workshop/special session (if any): attendance, number ofpapers submitted, number of papers accepted.All proposals should be submitted by electronic mail as a .docattachment.
