    1.About the conference:

The 2022 International Conference on Physical Chemistry and Metallurgy (ICPCM 2022) will be held in Dali, China from May 13-15 ,2022.

The conference will invite experts and scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutions, business people and other related personnel to share the latest research results and discuss future academic topics with scholars and teachers and students in the field through keynote speeches and oral presentations.

    2.Keynote Speaker

    Prof. Yucheng Liu

School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shaanxi Normal University ,China

    ▶Title:TBD◀

Research Area: Semiconductor, photovoltaic and photoelectronic devices

    Prof. Longjiu Cheng

    Anhui University ,China

    ▶Title:Super valence bond theory◀

Abstract: We proposed a new concept for bonding between superatoms—super valence bond (SVB), of which superatoms can share both valence pairs and nuclei for shell closure thus forming delocalized super bonding.] Using Li clusters as a test case, we theoretically find that metal clusters can mimic the behavior of simple molecules in electronic shells. It is found that Li14, Li10, and Li8 clusters are analogues of F2, N2, and CH4 molecules, respectively, in molecular orbital (MO) diagrams and bonding patterns. This new concept shows new insights in understanding the stability of clusters and designing the cluster-assembling materials.

    Prof. Liyu Chen

South China University of Technology, China

▶Title: The design and synthesis of metal–organic framework (MOF)-based metal nanomaterials, and their applications in industrial catalysis◀

Abstract: Our group focus on the design and synthesis of metal–organic framework (MOF)-based metal nanomaterials, and their applications in industrial catalysis. Aiming at the bottleneck problems of common industrial hydrogenation and oxidation catalysts, including easy agglomeration and poor activity of metal active centers, harsh reaction conditions and poor selectivity, we proposed new concepts of synergistic nanopore confinement and pore surface stabilization effect, synergistic pore decoration and diffusion enhancement effect, and controlled deligandation to improve the efficiency of MOF-based metal catalysts, leading to the construction of MOF-based metal catalysts with high stability, high activity and high selectivity to further promote the industrial applications of MOF-based metal catalytic materials.

    Dr. Ghulam Yasin

    Shenzhen University, China

▶Title: Nanoscale Advanced Functional Materials for Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion Devices/Technologies◀

Abstract: Currently, green energy conversion and storage technologies based on sustainable energy sources, are attracting much consideration owing to the continuously rising energy demand for sustainable social and economic development. For this purpose, the construction of new materials with excellent practical permanency and extraordinary activity for electrocatalysis is deemed very competitive and active avenues in energy applications. With the rapidly expanding research areas and emerging uses of nanoscience and nanotechnology, advanced nanomaterials with several unique morphologies are proposed to fabricate promising electrocatalysts and/or energy storage materials. The adaptability of nanostructures and nanomaterials therefore could originate the proficient power sources for various technologies, such as portable, foldable, flexible electronic appliances, long-drive automobiles, and grid-scale energy storage. In this talk, we will briefly discuss the design and development of nanostructures and nanomaterials for high-performance next-generation electrochemical energy conversion and storage devices.
