Currently, the focus of emergency management, business continuity and disaster response is organized around operations, infrastructure, IT and security issues. Unfortunately, in recent years, there have been a wide range of experiences that have demonstrated the need to mitigate and manage the impact of crises, not just on the workplace, but on the workforce as well. It is necessary to expand the concept of organizational preparedness to not only include but to prioritize the human factor.
