"e-business" may be defined as the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in support of all the activities of business. This is an active area of research with technical innovations being introduced every day but it is also an important opportunity to identify applications involving business models and business processes spanning the entire value chain: electronic purchasing and supply chain management, marketing, customer relationship management and new ways of cooperating with business partners, including virtual enterprises. The special session will offer the opportunity to fill the gap between academic researchers and practitioners. The authors are invited to submit their research contributions and case-studies.
