Call For Papers - CFP
The 7th IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC-09)http://cse.stfx.ca/~euc09/
Organized by St Francis Xavier University, CanadaSponsored by IEEE and IEEE Computer SocietyVancouver, Canada, August 29-31, 2009INTRODUCTIONEmbedded and ubiquitous computing is an exciting paradigm that promises to provide computingand communication services to the end users all the time and everywhere. Its systems are nowinvading in every aspect of our daily life and promise to revolutionize our life much more profoundlythan elevators, electric motors or even personal computer evolution ever did. The emergence of thistechnology is a natural outcome of research and technological advances in a variety of areasincluding embedded systems, pervasive computing and communications, wireless networks, mobilecomputing, distributed computing and agent technologies.EUC-09 is the next event, in a series of highly successful International Conferences on Embeddedand Ubiquitous Computing (EUC), previously held as ICDCS-ECS04 ((Tokyo, Japan, March 2004),EUC-04 (Aizu, Japan, August 2004), EUC-05 (Nagasaki, Japan, December 2005), EUC-06 (Seoul,Korea, August 2006), EUC-07 (Taipei, Taiwan, December 2007) and EUC-08 (Shanghai, China,December 2008).SCOPE AND INTERESTSThe EUC-09 conference provides a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry, andgovernment to address all resulting profound challenges including technical, safety, social, legal, political, and economic issues, and to present and discuss their ideas, results, work in progress andexperience on all aspects of embedded and ubiquitous computing.EMBEDDED COMPUTING:* Embedded System Software and Optimization* Embedded System Architectures* Hardware/Software Co-design and Design Automation* Real-Time Systems and Operating Systems* Application-Specific Processors and Devices* Power-Aware Computing* Sensor Networks* System/Network-on-Chip* Reconfigurable Computing Systems and Applications* Cyber-Physical SystemsUBIQUITOUS COMPUTING:* Pervasive Computing and Communications* Middleware and Peer-to-Peer Computing* Internet Computing and Applications* Multimedia and Data Management* Human-Computer Interaction* Network Protocols* Wireless Communication & Networks* Mobile Computing* Agents and Distributed Computing* Security and Fault Tolerance ApplicationsIMPORTANT DATESELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONPrepare your paper with free styles not more than 15 pages in PDF file. Submit your paper(s) atthe EUC-09 submission site: http://cse.stfx.ca/~euc09/sub/
Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, atleast one of the authors must attend the conference to present the work in order for the paperto be included in the IEEE Digital Library.PAPER PUBLICATIONSAccepted papers will be published in proceedings of the EUC-09 conference by IEEE ComputerSociety. Selected bested papers will be recommended for publication in special issues ofJournal of Embedded Computing, International Journal of Embedded Systems, InternationalJournal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems and several SCI-indexed journals. The 7th IEEE/IFIP International Conference onEmbedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC-09)EUC-09 CFPWORKSHOP PROPOSALIn conjunction with the EUC-09 conference, several workshops will be held. Please submit aworkshop proposal including call for papers, organizing committee, important dates, short bioof the organizers to the EUC-09 workshop chairs before March 01, 2009. Proceedings ofEUC-09 workshops will be published by IEEE CS Press. The workshops with more than 15papers will be granted with a free complimentary registration for the leading workshoporganizer.Honorary ChairsMicaela Serra, University of Victoria, CanadaD.
