Future Network and MobileSummit 2011 takes place in the Historical City of Warsaw, Poland, 15 - 17 June 2011. This is the twentieth in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission, which regularly attracts over 600 delegates from industry and research to share experiences and research results, identify future trends, discuss business opportunities and identify opportunities for international research collaboration under the ICT Theme of Framework Programme 7 (FP7). It will thus contribute to showcasing European research in the field, and position it within the multiplicity of related initiatives supported in other regions of the world.In the context of convergence, the 20th Future Network and MobileSummit will address the challenges of building the Future Internet, based on mobile, wireless and fixed broadband communications infrastructures.ProgrammePlenary speakers confirmed to date include:- Dr Zoran Stancic, Deputy Director General, DG Information Society & Media, European CommissionThe Scientific Programme will incorporate all the key constituents of Future Networks including- Radio Access and Spectrum- Converged and Optical Networks- Future Internet TechnologiesSupported by the European Commission and Net!Works (previously eMobility), the reputation of the Future Network and MobileSummit (previously known as ICT-MobileSummit) is based on high quality networking, plenary sessions that discuss strategic issues in core thematic areas and paper sessions that showcase original results in all areas of mobile, wireless and fixed broadband communications systems and networks.Dedicated Plenary Sessions will feature keynote presentations on strategic issues related to the three core thematic priorities: Radio Access and Spectrum, Converged and Optical Networks, and Future Internet Technologies. These Plenary Sessions will be complemented by a strong Scientific Programme with thematically focused parallel sessions featuring industrial and research papers.Future Network & MobileSummit 2011 is Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Poland Communications Chapter Krakow, IEEE Poland Computer Chapter and IEEE UK/RI Computer Chapter.All full papers accepted in the conference proceedings for Future Network and MobileSummit 2011 will have the option to have their paper included in IEEE Explore.The Call for Papers for Future Network and MobileSummit 2011 closed on 10 December 2010 for paper submissions. The Advance Programme will be published in late January.Pre-Conference WorkshopsA Proposers' Networking Day focused on FP7-ICT Call 8 and Celtic-Plus Call 2 and seven pre-conference workshops (Future Internet Cluster Workshop on Future Network Architectures; European Workshop on Broadband Femtocell Networks; Federation Workshop; Cognitive Radio: Technology, Regulation, and Quality of Service and Mobility; Putting Mobile Services into Context; Technologies for LTE-Advanced: from Theory to Practice and Next Generation Converged Access Networks - Opportunities, Achievements and Challenges) will take place on Tuesday 14 June.
