Call For Papers - CFP
The International Association for Boundary ElementMethods (IABEM) promotes and facilitates theworldwide exchange of ideas and technicalinformation on the development of BoundaryIntegral Equation formulations and numericalsolution techniques, commonly referred to as theBoundary Element Methods, and their applicationsto problems in nature, science, technology, andengineering.Applications complexity and computationalcapabilities achieved new peaks since the last 2006IABEM symposium in Graz. New visions, problems, and knowledge call the world of simulation to novelchallenges in industry and research.Following the success of previous IABEM meetings,a four-day symposium is being organized at theUniversity of Brescia, Italy. It aims at providing aforum for researchers in boundary integralformulations and boundary element methods:concepts, advancements in computing capabilities, and under standing of this computationalmethodology will be presented and discussed. The conference Language is English.Registration is exclusively through the RegistrationAccess on the website www.iabem2011.itRegistration for the conference is mandatory for thepresentation of a lecture.Early Registration fees up to May 1, 2011:regular Fee: 300?, students: 200?Regular/On-site Fee after May 1, 2011:regular Fee: 350?, students: 250?Postdoctoral Fellows should pay the "regular"registrant fee, not the "student" fee. No registeredparticipant will be allowed to give more than oneoral presentation at the conference.Fees include all Conference Materials and All SpeakerHandouts, Lunch tickets and Coffee breaks,Conference Dinner, Monday night musical event.Tickets for the Conference Dinner, Monday nightmusical event, Social events can be purchasedseparately.February 1, 2011: Submission of a one page abstractMarch 1, 2011: Notification of acceptanceMay 1st, 2011: Extended abstract dueAfter the conference a selected number of paperswill be submitted for possible publication on a specialissue of the international journal ComputationalMechanics. They will be eventually published after thestandard peer review process. Two special sessions are organized within theconference. One is devoted to Industrialapplications of BEM. One aims at honor Prof. S.Mukherjee and Prof. L. Gray for theiroutstanding contributions in BEM.The Frank Rizzo prize will award distinguishedscientists in recognition of key contributions inBEM. The Young researcher prize will select thebest presentations in mathematical andengineering aspects of BEM by a youngresearcher.
