The 2011 International Workshop on Multimedia, Communication and Convergence technologies (MCC 2011) http://www.ftrai.org/mcc2011/
Crete, Greece, 28-30 June, 2011In conjunction with MUE 2011http://www.ftrai.org/mue2011/
The 2011 International Workshop on Multimedia, Communication and Convergence technologies will be held in Crete, Greece on June 28-30, 2011. The MCC 2011 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on the various aspects of Multimedia, Communication and Convergence technologies (MCC 2011). The MCC 2011 will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of Multimedia, Communication and Convergence technologies (MCC). In addition, the workshop will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories, modeling, and practical applications in MCC. Furthermore, we expect that the conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject. MCC'11 encourages a multidisciplinary perspective and welcomes papers that address challenges of multimedia, communications and convergence technologies in general or in the context of specific domains. The selected outstanding papers will be published in following Journal. - The Journal of Supercomputing (JoS) - Springer (SCI) - International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing - Inderscience (SCIE) - Multimedia Tools and Applications (MTAP) - Springer (SCIE)- International Journal of Information Technology, Communications and Convergence (IJITCC) - Inderscience - Jounal of Convergence (JoC) - FTRA - Journal of Information Processing Systems (JIPS) - KIPS (KCIE)MCC 2011 covers novel theories, designs, and applications on Multimedia, Communication and Convergence technologies.Papers of high quality in the following areas are invited: == Topics ==?Multimedia coding, streaming, and networking?Multimedia transmission networks, systems, and applications?P2P multimedia coding, architecture, and networks?IPTV architectures and standards?QoS management for video streaming and IPTV?Video coding, transcoding, and multi-view coding?Multimedia indexing and retrieval?Multimedia and multimodal signal processing, user interfaces, and interaction models?Mobile telemedicine applications?Wireless multimedia systems for health care?Multimedia delivery over 2.5G/3G/4G networks?Wearable sensors and applications?Security issues in mobile multimedia communications?Innovative Internet video, mobile video, and IPTV services?DRM in mobile multimedia communications?Novel Internet architectures, protocol and algorithms for video distribution?M2M security for convergence environment.?Multimedia convergence services and applications?New idea and standard for mobile multimedia convergence?Fault-Tolerant / Reconfigurable system for Parallel Computing?System and Software Reliability for MMC?Embedded system and software ?Parallel Solution for Large-scale system?RFID / Sensor Network Technologies?Load Balancing Algorithm for Grid Computing / MMC== Organization ==Workshop ChairsJames J.
