    Call For Papers - CFP

CloudApp 2010: The Second IEEE International Workshop on Applied Cloud

    Computing

    July 18-22, 2011 - Munich, Germany

In conjunction with the 35th Annual IEEE Computer Software and Applications

    Conference (COMPSAC 2011)

    http://compsac.cs.iastate.edu/cc_workshops.php

Cloud computing is swiftly becoming a very significant computing paradigm,

allowing organizations to implement more computationally smart and agile

environments by improving efficiency and reliability at lower cost. Many

potential uses have been proposed to leverage this powerful resource,

covering many areas of applied computing. CloudApp intends to bring together

cloud computing researchers, experts, developers, and practitioners from

academia, industry, and government, to discuss new and emerging trends in

research, application, and management of cloud computing technologies for

these environments. The workshop seeks to identify the greatest risks and

challenges facing these paradigms, outline approaches for solving them, and

provide the foundation for new cross-discipline collaborative efforts.

We solicit unpublished research papers that address theoretical issues and

practical implementations and experiences related to new technologies and

applications enabled by cloud computing. Topics of interest related to

applied cloud computing include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cloud service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

    Cost analysis and revenue models

    Data assurance/management

    Digital forensic challenges and applications

    Enterprise applications based on clouds

    Governance

    Identity management

    Network and storage architectures

    Programming models and tools

    Performance monitoring and optimization

    Scalability and complexity

    Scientific and high performance computing

    Security applications

    Security policy and trust models

    Service computing

    Service Level Agreement compliance

    Virtualization techniques and applications

    Paper Submission:

Papers must be submitted electronically via the CloudApp 2011 Submission

Page. The format of submitted papers should follow the guidelines for the

IEEE conference proceedings. All papers will be carefully reviewed by at

least three reviewers. Papers can be submitted as regular papers (six pages),

and the acceptance will depend on reviewer feedback. Accepted papers will be

published in the workshop proceedings of the COMPSAC 2011 by the IEEE CS

Press. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register as a

full participant of the workshop to have the paper published in the

    proceedings.
