FGC 2012 - The Third International Workshop on Frontier of GPU ComputingTo be held in conjunction with IEEE HPCC 2012Liverpool, England, UK, 25-27 June 2012http://www.comp.hkbu.edu.hk/~chxw/fgc2012/index.php
Journal Special IssuesDistinguished selected papers accepted and presented in FGC 2012, after furtherextension and revisions, will be published in special issues of the followingprestigious SCI-Indexed Journals:- Future Generation Computer Systems (Elsevier)- Journal of Computer and System Science (Elsevier)- Journal of Supercomputing (Springer)- Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience (John Wiley & Sons)- The Computer Journal (The British Computer Society)- Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory (Elsevier)- Journal of Systems Architecture (Elsevier)ScopeWe are witnessing a tremendous adoption of GPU computing in today's top supercomputersas well as personal supercomputers. More and more applications are being accelerated byGPUs, including those from computational finance, numerical computing, image/video processing, engineering simulations, bioinformatics, weather simulations, quantum chemistry, etc.The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and practitionersto discuss and share their research and development experiences and outputs on themassively parallel GPU platforms, software development tools, optimization techniques, parallel algorithm design, and all kinds of successful applications. We solicitoriginal and previously unpublished papers addressing research challenges and advancestowards the design, implementation and evaluation of massively parallel GPU computing.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:- Large-scale Simulations on GPUs- Heterogeneous Computing- Performance Modeling and Benchmarking- Multi-core and Many-core Processor Architectures- Parallel Programming Languages and Compilers- Middleware and Libraries- Parallel and Distributed Algorithms on GPU Clusters- Self-configuration and Fault-tolerance- Green GPU Computing- GPU CloudsPaper SubmissionAuthors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished researchand recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. The length of the papersshould not exceed 6 pages + 2 pages for overlength charges (IEEE Computer Society ProceedingsManuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, 10-point font), including figures and references. All papers will be peer reviewed and the comments will be provided to the authors. Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings published by IEEE ComputerSociety Press (indexed by EI). At least one of the authors of any accepted paper is requestedto register the paper. To submit your paper, please access EasyChair through http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=fgc2012
